Monday morning meanderings. Vol. 72 (TVFTJT 2nd Anniversary)

Payson, Arizona

Cloudy, cool and rainy this morning, something we seldom see here in Arizona and the central plains.  A nice change, actually.

The two year anniversary of The View From the Juniper Tree passed without my even noticing it.  There are days, many recently, when I wonder why I blog on but it is part of what I believe I am called to for this season and I still enjoy it most of the time.  There have been 94, 490 page views since this first post went up January 13, 2007.  There have been 347 more since that time with an average view of 123.  These 348 posts have averaged just over 3 comments per, which is my biggest disappointment related to the blog.  Either what I write is so complete no one has any thing to add, or more likely there is not enough interest in the topic to add anything to the mix.

The post that continues to get the most hits is this one right HERE.  It has been looked at 4168 times.  I have written 4 other times about Lee and Mary and added together these posts get nearly 10% of the views on the Juniper Tree.  The second biggest draw to the site was written by Linda.  You can find it HERE.  It has been looked at almost 1500 times.  I think there is a lot of interest these days in alternative lifestyles, especially those that are less costly.

The biggest draw on some thing that didn’t have Lee and Mary in it that I wrote is this one HERE.  It was written back in April of 2007 and continues to draw people to the site every day.  Ithink it is because there are lots of people that love Jesus but find the institutional church very frustrating.  The Monday meanderings with the most hits was Vol. 11 and was actually written on a Sunday evening.  And yes, it contained something about Lee Akin.

My favorite all time post?  Maybe this ONE  or this ONE and I really like this ONE, this ONE too.  But my favorite of the 348 is probably this ONE.  The One right below this post, is One I like a lot. Who knows really?  Everytime I write something, I try to do my best so hopefully my favorite is yet to come.

25 months of blogging.  Some days I pray for release from it but most days I just plod on.  Thanks for sharing some of life with me.

I have enjoyed reading your posts and my wife and I look forward to receiving them. Our lives have changed alot in the last year and as you pointed out the world is changing too. It’s good to get a daily reminder that others are focused on the kingdom and working hard to share the wisdom that God has revealed to them.

I have read everyone of your posts. I check eveyday to see what you might say, what you and Linda are up to, and what God might say through you. Keep it up.

So I get less visits and little if any comments! Guess I could give it up but refuse to because if one person reads and appreciates, it was worth it. Keep up the good work.

Don’t be dismayed by the lack of active comments.
I was reading up on Mike Huckabee after hearing a fox
report he gave on teleprompters and it lead me to your page.
As a Native Arizonan living in Pennsylvania it was such a pleasure to see the Juniper tree and read your messages.
That being said I bet you would enjoy this site also..http://www.bornagainamerican.org/….I found it as refreshing as seeing your Juniper Tree..hope you enjoy it as well…and oh by the way….I have yet to find the discipline to blog regularly. This has been a refreshing break in my day!

Happy Anniversary!!!! i find it hard to believe i’ve been learning from you in this format for this long. but i am thankful, for your perserverance, your humor, your honesty, and clarity. don’t give up, sometimes i think, for me anyway, we don’t comment because you have summed things up so well, but also, because, it means sometimes exposing ourselves, in a way that ain’t always easy. maybe we will become more fearless as time moves on.

Of the ones you “like,” I like Gracious Uncertainty best. We seem to have lots of uncertainly in our life, especially now, and while that is different from our previous life, it does cause our faith and trust in our Father to grow. The uncertainty of now is filled with Abba’s grace and mercy, His love and faithfulness, His wisdom and….His power. We want more of You, so…continue to give us uncertainty, Father.
