One Text for Burma

 Free Burma!

I have never joined any kind of blogosphere wide day for anything but I felt the situation in Myanmar was important.  I don’t have much to tell you about it but if you are interested there are plenty of ways for you to search out information yourself.

Here are a few links: Here and here and here and here.  I would also recommend a visit here for some good information from the Emergent Village.

These people are all children of the same Father as we are so they are our brothers and sisters.  Our Daddy loves these children just as much as He loves us. The only difference between them and us is we live as children of Light and they live as children of darkness.  With political freedom will hopefully come the opportunity for the Light to engage the darkness, so pray for political freedom to come to Burma and for the Light to shine in this dark place.

The Robbie Seay album 10,000 Charms has a song titled Peace which says a lot of what I think should be our prayer this morning and perhaps every moment for this world being ripped apart by the enemy.

calmer than the sky
far away so blue
land of living God
grant your peace on earth
we can feel you move
and cannot stay the same
the winds are blowing strong
God of heaven come

breathe peace
breathe your peace on us
so we might breathe you deep
breathe peace
breathe your peace on us
land of the living God

if we are in the way
move us to the side
God forgive our wrongs
rest your hands on us

all the world is yours
let us not forget
it was you who bore the cross
God of comfort breathe

breathe peace
breathe your peace on us
so we might breathe you deep
breathe peace
breathe your peace on us
land of the living God

Thanks for caring and praying.
