Kingdom Summit III

Okeechobee, Florida

We left Sayre at 4am for the Will Rogers International Airport in Oklahoma City.  We made our flight at 7:15 and with a couple of hour layover in Atlanta we landed about 1:30 in West Palm Beach, Florida.  My first time in Florida.  We are now in our rooms at the Dunklin Memorial Camp a few miles from the huge Lake Okeechobee.  I put some links in yesterdays post for these two sites but here they are again. (Dunklin) (Lake Okeechobee)

Frankly I do not know what we are going to do during this week.  I trust Andy and he thinks it will be really great for me to be here and he made it possible so I am going to enter in and see what the Father has for me.

The summit is put on by three men, Jack Taylor, Andy’s uncle, (find info here) Bob Mumford, (info here) and Charles Carrin (info here).  I know these names as some of you might but I have never had the pleasure of their company.  Should be interesting.

It is as if the Father took Linda and me out of the stream where we were birthed, raised, trained and where we ministered for nearly 35 years and dropped us in to a river where we have never been before.  Linda read me Oswald Chambers from a couple of days ago about how we are like a river and sometimes obstacles get in the way of the river and either it goes around it, goes underground or blows out the obstacle.  (Read it here) We have been up against an obstacle for two years, that refused to move, so the Father has just taken us around it or taken us under ground for a while, but the river of our lives is moving.  Coming to Oklahoma is part of the new path our river is flowing and so is this summit.

How will it all work out?  Stay tuned and we will find out together.

I let the fact that we moved past 40,000 hits on this site a few days ago, slip by without mentioning it. With that milestone, I have been noticing some changes in the readership of The View From the Juniper Tree.  While there is still a predominate readership from our home area there is an increasing amount of people who are reading us from Oklahoma and not just Sayre.  But what is most interesting and fun is the large number of hits from outside the country.  Just today we have had visits from Chili, Brazil, Mexico, Taiwan, Spain, Portugal, Canada, China, Italy, Ireland and Texas.  (I know, Texas isn’t a country, yet)

I enjoy watching the numbers, not so much to prop myself up, but to recognize that this small Kingdom effort is bearing fruit, around the world.  That blesses me.

Thanks for reading.  I thought it rained hard in Oklahoma but, wow, you should see it out here!  The NW should not get the rep it has for rain as we never get anything close to this.

    G’Day Greg, Linda and friends.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put your trust in man. Psalm 118:8 I’m in your corner Greg Scandrett. Thanks for your faithful words of encouragement on the journey you are on. The road less travelled. The road beyond the security of man made church structures that eventually replace faith with function. The multitudes of people in our world who desperately need to know that the Jesus of the Bible is a friend to sinners and outcasts. That our sacred book was written by criminals, refugees and men on death row. That modern religion would crucify him all over again should he walk the streets of humanity. Thank God for Jesus!!! and for the presence and friendship of His Holy Spirit. Just know that the favor and anointing of the Lord is on you as promised in Luke 4:18. It seems that we can never be greatly used by God until we have been greatly broken. Godspeed.
    Steve Grace
