June 9, 2007

There are all kinds of ways to celebrate wedding anniversaries and we have done many of them over the years.  When I asked Linda what she would like to do for our 35th, which we are celebrating today, she said “go and see the kids in Utah”.  So that is where we are on the 35th anniversary of our marriage.

Yes, we have been through some hard things together over the years but there have been many more good and wonderful gifts we have been given than hard times.  We have 3 wonderful children, a great son in law and terrific daughter in law, and of course the 3 finest grandsons any one could have. We have parents and brothers and sisters (in law too) for which we are always thankful, we have some really good friends to share life with and we are priviliged to have a future full of the promises of a Father who has always been faithful.

We are so blessed.  We treasure the years we have had together and thankful for a love that is deep, full, tested by fire and found true and ready to enjoy the next 35 knowing the Father gave us the love of our lives.

And Greg will be 57 on Sunday. I didn’t remember you got married the day before your birthday. Maybe that is because I am older.

    Have a great weekend!
