Another President from Hope, Arkansas?

I was watching the Tim Russert show on TV the other night as he was interviewing the former governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee.  The governor had just announced the formation of his “exploratory committee” to see if a presidential run was feasible.  As I listened I heard much that I found attractive in a president.  Honest, clear, not defensive, passionate, articulate, good ideas, humble, tried by fire, willing to admit mistakes.  All qualities needed for a leader in these days.

There are many candidates out there already trying to get you to listen and send money.  Most of them do not even turn my head at this early point in the campaign, but this one did.  Keep the name on your mind as the next year unfolds. I think many of you will find his style and substance valuable commodities in a president.

The fact that he plays bass in a rock and roll band should offset the fact that he is from Hope, Arkansas, the home of another recent president.
